I've been looking forward to this for like over a year and when I went and saw it I was slighty disappointed. Now don't get me wrong, Nic was excellent in it, he played the part really well and was way cool but I think the screenply could've used some work. I'm Australian (so I'm allowed to say this next bit) I think that the fact that it was made in Australia was the problem (now, I've never been to Texas but I don't think they have gum trees there) and I had seen a lot of the extras in some other little things and so I knew them and it sort of made the whole thing less 'epic movie' and more '****ty Australian production'. Anyway all in all I'd give this movie 6/10 and all 6 of them points are due to Nic. I hope I didn't ramble on too much.
Oh that's okay, it's good to here your opinion on it :)
You mean to say that the gorgeous Nic and Eva Mendez were here on Australian soil and I didn't know? Don't tell me it was shot in Sydney, I will just die. I too usually get put off when I can recognise the gratuitous "Aussie extras" but I truly did not recognise any of this movie as being an Aussie production (not that there is anything wrong with that). I just loved this movie!
No, not Sydney (unfortunately). Melbourne :( if it was Sydney I so would've been there!

No need to apologise hun...you're entitled to your opinion! I know Nicky would welcome constructive critiscism as he did once say he likes to hear what fans think of his movies - good or bad!
At least you lot have been lucky enough to see it! I've got to wait 'til 2nd March! Lol.

I went last night with the family....(hub and two teens, girl age 13, son age 16) to see Ghost Rider and all of us really enjoyed the movie! It was pure entertainment for entertainment's sake. My hub thought they did a great job meshing live actors with CGI and that Nic did a good job with the demands of the character. My son loved the storyline, motorcycle and supernatural powers of a comic book hero. My daughter loved the scary stuff (she's into being scared to death) and I simply loved seeing Nic looking like he was having fun letting loose with a character who LET'S LOOSE............LOL! Nic wasn't too bad looking either for eye candy of the lean/mean type (Corelli....he wore lots of leather).......all in all very fitting for the character.
The theater was packed with people of all ages and at the end of the showing, there was actual applause (which you don't get much anymore these days to show appreciation for a move). When we were leaving the theater, there was much discussion going on among the theater goers around me and I caught questions like "Did you catch" and "Wasn't it cool when....?"
All in all, Ghost Rider was indeed.......a very cool movie much enjoyed!
Yay! I'm glad you liked it! ^.^ Haha, oh yes, me and Corelli are suckers for leather ;) (For me, it can't be better than all leather or a sharp black suit.)
There were a LOT of people in my theater, especially for a first showing. I saw little kids in there, and I heard the kid behind me say, "This is scary..." Even before it actually got scary. I don't think I would've taken any little kids in to see that movie- there were a lot of frightening scenes for little children.
I LOVED the effects, the CGI was amazing! Especially that water guy... when he wipes his eye off... man that was gross, but such good effects! lol!
Anyone noticed how good Nic can scream? I first noticed in Face/Off when he woke up from the coma. And he definitely doesn't disappoint in Ghost Rider for the screaming scenes, hehe.
Twood not be a good thing.....you snoring in the theater and missing out on Nic.......

Well.......you don't want to mix those two things together! You might end up sleeping thru all the good stuff............

OH Corelli sweetie........just make sure you take some antihistamine allergy pills before you go see the movie. We want to make sure they don't have to rush you off to the hospital again.........
