Hello all, well my surgery went without a hitch this morning. Although, I did have a wee anxiety attack as I normally do whenever I come out from "Under". I had warned them before hand, it was kinda funny before the surgery. I was I guess, looking reaaaaaaaaaally scared/nervous, so my Doc friend (yeah, the very same Huha doc I used um date....fool around with), gave me a little something for nerves. See they normally give you a nice little ****tail before they give you the sleep stuff, too relax you during the last half hour or so before they put you out. Well he gave me that BEFORE the other one. So yeah, I was pretty calm. And then when I came out from under and started freaking out (I really dont remember doing that, but oh well), they hit me with another one and then some liquid Benadryl and Morphine. Of course I wanted to sleep, but for some reason they did not want me too (something to do with it slowing my circulation down), so this guy kept thumping me on my head everytime I dozed off. He was an old bugger with a crusty personality to match. After the third thwap on the head, I chewed him a new one ...and then we were best buddies, LOL!
And how sweet is this: Normally they only give the Soldier three days off for this surgery as its very minor, but my HuHa Doc was letting a new Resident do the paper work (not the actuall surgery, I told him I only wanted him to operate on me. So just as he was telling me after the surgery about my three days, a nurse walks up and says "Oh, she has 14 days off". Seems the new little Resident was a wee bit off in the giving of time off. I just looked at Mike (Huha Doc) and quickly said "I'll take it!", he just sighed and shook his head and grinning at me, said "Ok fine, whatever". Heehee. So now I find me out with two weeks of paid time off! Woohoo!
