BTW....I found the lyrics to the "My Girlfriend is in love...."
"My Girlfriend is in Love with Nicholas Cage" ---------------------------------------------- Just what do you expect to say? just what do you expect anyway? i'll never be him so, don't bring it up again, understand that i'll never be
him, or what makes him so cool try and understand
I'm a punk rocker, he's a movie star he doesn't have a clue of who you are and i suppose it was wrong to burn all those posters of him but it's not like you didn't have enough
anyway, why don't you let it go just get it through your head
just what do you want me to say? just what do you expect anyway? i'll never be nicolas cage, so don't bring him up again understand
maby i could kill him, and then you'd be all mine

I thought Iīd let you know that our man is an inspiration for songwriters in the Continent. Hereīs proof:
This song is called "Como Nicolas Cage en Leaving Las Vegas" by Amaral, who are a very well-known pop group in my country. Itīs in Spanish (sorry). Itīs about two loverīs last dinner together. They talk about his character Ben Sanders and basically say that love is unpredictable and although you can think youīve become jaded about it, itīs an everlasting feeling.
This other song ( "Je suis Nicolas Cage") is from a French group called No ID. My French is not that good, but I can make out that theyīre talking about his success and how he did it on his own (away from the Coppolas), but being famous can be very lonely, and heīs just a human being and would like to be considered as a regular Joe sometimes too.
Iīve found other songs by American indie groups, but you know I cannot post them since I downloaded them illegally and donīt want to "jeopardize" the forum. The details:
"My Girlfriend is in love with Nicolas Cage" by Cryptorchid Chipmunk, and "Drowning Nicolas Cage" by Blu Velvet.
For better or worse, I guess all that means heīs become an icon of popular culture or something, dontīyou think?
