I have heard that some American actors/actresses have actually started out by doing films in other countries like The UK or Italy and they become famous there and then after that they come to the US and are famous because of being made famous in the other country. Is that true? Are there many American actors that got famous by making films in the Uk first and becoming a UK movie star?

Thanks MGirl, i wouldnt say we are smart, it's just over here the brits do like their films, and the critics can be so harsh at times,
Ok, the critics may say if the films are good or bad, but its the general public over here what counts, and if us brits who love a good film with the actors and actresses, then it will shoot straight the top
