It's always sad to see people leave a fourm so close together...but things happen...hopefully they'll return after things calm down, but if not I wish them both well with wherever they go
this is to bad. i try to maintain the rule of never discusing politics or religion w/ friends sometimes i break my rule when someone says something i ca't remain silent about since i ran out and registered to vote on my 18th b-day i've always had strong views but being more to the left in a very right community i have tried to not even get into a discusion unless i'm sure i'm w/ open minded people or thoses of like minds there are many times when my group of friends are discusing something w/ a totally different view than i so i just sit back and keep my thoughts to myself and share them when i get home w/ the hubby i don't understand why anyone would decide to leave when they could have just taken time away to breath and collect thier thoughts hopefully they both know that if they change thier minds they are welcome back. let's be lovers not fighters!

I agree with Lesley, there may have been some silly disagreements but this is a great forum, and we hope that everyone continues to post, We are here for posting, for the one thing we all have in common, Nic! So hopefully we can put all this behind us, and look forward to making this forum one that Nic and all our guests would enjoy reading
As some of you may be aware there were certain differences of opinion thrashed out on the forum last week and as a result both Mara and Bonnie have decided to leave the forum.
I won't go into too much detail but the gist of it is Bonnie agreed with me that I should step in and remind BOTH her and Mara, in a post, that politics and/or religeon were not up for discussion on this form but when I did exactly that I came out as the villain of the piece. I put my hands up and admit I may not have handled this...our first, and hopefully, last!...disagreement correctly but I can learn from this and make sure it doesn't happen again!
I'm sad that a new member, Mara, has left the forum and I'm sad a valued member such as Bonnie has decided to leave as she's been with this forum from the start and has been of great help but it's her call and I know you'll all join me in wishing her well whatever differences of, or personal opinions, any of us may have. As far as I'm concerned any member is welcome back anytime.

Hopefully this will all blow over and we can get back to normal discussing Nic and having fun and I hope members will continue continue to support this forum!
