Well...seeing as there's been no official announcement on the cause of death I think it's in bad taste to assume it's sucide so let's give the man a break and let him rest in peace!

They're not treating it as a suicide officially but it does look suspiciously like one. For some reason I saw this story on the internet and I kept thinking it was a joke until I saw it in the papers. I reacted the same way to Steve Erwin's death. I don't know. You see deaths all the time in the papers, but you're always thinking, "nah, that can't happen to our boys".
And to think that in terms of generation, Heath is actually in the same generation as me. That's creepy, that something like this could happen to someone from my own generation.

Same as Lindsay Lohan and Pete Doherty...always drunk and going to rehab! I can't name one of Lohans films or any of Doherty songs yet I know who these people are from their publicity! Lol.
deeply sad. Loving peace and angels to you Heath Ledger. I so hope it doesn't get publicly picked apart with speculation. And I hope his family and love ones are given respect and privacy.

That's true Lesley, actors do start out young and they sometimes can't handle the pressure, or they get into the wrong crowd who introduce them to the hard stuff, take Britney Spears for instance, how young she started out, look at her now, she has lost the plot, Ok granted, majority of actors/pop stars etc did start out young, Nic for instance and many more, and he turned out just fine, its just the odd few that take the wrong path
I have to admit I don't know much about Heath Ledger and I've never seen any of his films but sad to hear of his death at such a young age.
Kim...you asked why so many young actors go this way...unfortunately it's a case of too much too young and they can't handle the money and fame...even though they think they can...and end up on drink and drugs.
I heard this on the news last night, i was shocked, why do so many young actors go this way for, it was the same for River Phoneix he died at a young age as well, I loved the film Brokeback Mountain, he played a very good part in it as well
This is very tragic news, he was such a talented actor. RIP.

My model friend that lives in new York city just called and told me that Heath Ledger was just found dead in new York city. She said that the New York news says the death may be from a drug overdose, but they are Not for sure yet. I think that is so sad, he was only in his late twenties and was a great actor. Its so very sad.
