How about Ben having a dotty old eccentric great aunt or uncle from England! They would be an archaeologist who once travelled to Egypt exploring the great pyramids and in later years worked as curator at the British Museum in London!
In every national treasure movie we meet a member of Ben's family who also happen to be indispensible to the plot of that movie. Do you think we will meet a new family member in NT3? If yes, who do you think we will meet?
Possible candidate: Maybe a long lost uncle or cousin who also happens to be an expert in the inscriptions found on some of the artefacts on Easter Island, that so far, apparently nobody has cracked yet.
Also, what of Riley? I know he's only a sidekick but he needs some romance too. One of the girls in the crowd asked him for an autograph at the end of NT2, maybe they could expand on that in NT3.
Just some ideas. In other words, I'm trying to generate some gossip here that's not related to what kind of treasure they will be seeking, but rather what kinds of relationships might bloom in potential future treasure films.
