The money side of it is brilliant, I will look into in again, sometimes I don't mind outdoor work, as I have delivered cars for a company that hired you cars through your insurance when you needed them due to an accident etc, thing was it was great years ago, you could trust thumbing a lift, but nowdays not so sure on that one, as sometimes when I had to do a long distance drop, you had to pay your own fare, so if you didn't have a runner with you, thumbing was the easy and cheaper choice, but not now, better to be safe than sorry.
I will just have to have a good think about it, and see if there is any training to brush up on the skills I have, or just go into something completely different and to do some courses. Things all go back to normal Sept, so I will have a good nosey around then
I know what you mean, and sometimes they can be very hard to get into, but then I know you have the good qualifications and experience so that will be a doddle for you. At the moment i'm undecided, can't seem to make up my mind, I have worked in banks, solicitors and I have worked in a shipping company, but I'm not sure If I want to get back into that kind of work again, I want to do something practical, I love photography and floristry, as now I'm getting older and wiser, I need to do something that is more me for a change, I love the practical side more than the theory side of things nowdays, I think you tend to mellow with age, and want different things from when you was younger. I have all the office skills, but at the moment I can't see myself sitting 9 to 5 at a desk being bored out of my brains...lol, I want to be more creative nowdays
What type of job are you looking for? I'm looking for an office job, maybe civil service, as I've got office admin experience.
Thing is it's so expensive living in London I need a job that pays well and the only jobs that pay good money are office jobs especially the civil service.
I agree with you Lesley, now Becky is old enough to come and go as she pleases I want to get back into work, it's been great having the baby to look after as well, being a granny, but I need my time now as well, so I will be job hunting as soon as I'm back off my hols,
