Just found this little article, wonder if it's true?, would be great to see Nic do something like this, as the 80's classic with Jeff Goldblum is a good film, never liked the original much, but if Nic does take this one on board, bet it will be a great filmbiggrinbiggrin


NICOLAS CAGE is vying for the part of THE FLY in a planned remake of DAVID CRONENBERG's 1986 cult classic, according to the director himself.
Cronenberg, who is working on an operatic version of the creepy man-insect story, will not be involved in the remake, but he has been kept abreast of developments.
He tells E! "From what I hear, Nic Cage wants the part."
