I went to see it last night, and I agree the ending was somewhat different!, I didn't see that coming...lol It was supposed to be based around the city Boston, but was shot in Australia, maybe some of the shots were taken in the states as well, as it did resemble the states quite a bit, Great film though, I can see why everyone who has been to see it gives it the thumbs up
Just saw "Knowing" recently. It was cool. I liked the acting, the cinematography and the music, but plot-wise, it is probably the strangest film I've seen in recent times.
I liked the whole concept of the predictive numbers and I felt like I was watching an episode of Numb3rs for most of the movie. However I found the ending to be rather depressing, and I left the cinemas feeling thoroughly depressed.
I had heard that it was filmed in Melbourne but was surprised to see little resemblance of Australia in the film. They did a great job of dressing it up to make it look like they were in America.
I'm glad to hear that people on IMDB are liking it =) I haven't read reviews either, though rottentomatoes.com gave it "rotten" =/ I am hoping to see it either this weekend or next as well
It's not over here until the 25th, I'm so looking forward to seeing this film and hope to get to see it around that time, and what I can gather, word is as you say from IMDB, that the film is really good, I bet there will be some critics that have to moan about it somewhere, but from the trailers and pics it looks a real action type movie, which is the type that Nic seems to shine in I think
I read on imdb message board for the film, and it seems that most people who saw "Knowing" on opening night liked it and liked Nicolas Cage's performance in it. I have not seen it yet, but I am trying to go on Sunday if I can. I'm so glad that people like it, I'm sure that I will too! I'm not sure what the reviews are, but the people so far seem to like it, at least from some of the things i read on that message board. It also says that the ending is a shocker.
