We went to see Measure For Measure at Shakespeares Globe Theatre here in London a Coppola years ago. It was a great night out and Alan Rickman was sitting in the same row as us! We met him afterwards and got his autograph.

I agree with you there Lesley, lets face it Shakespeare was excellent, I've been to Stratford Upon Avon Shakespeare county, to the theater to see a play many years ago, while i was still at high school, most of the modern movies today have been based on his writing. I've never read any of Jane Austen or the Bronte sisters books, I use to read alot years ago, but haven't done for a while, i will have to get back into reading, very relaxing

This has made my day, always knew she had some talent, but she never tried to carry on and make a success with it until her school must have thought she had some talent to enter her into the competition.
I had a letter sent this afternoon regarding the competition, it's called Mini saga's 2009 London, what it's meant to be is that the competition is open to young writers across the country and overseas, they have to write a mini saga containing no more than 50 words, with a beginning a middle and an ending to do with something that enspires them somehow, there was over 30,000 entries and Bec was chosen to have her one published out of all those entries, it doesn't say how many were chosen but that is still a huge achievement for her age, and they will notify the school that she was chosen. The book will be published in the British Library and all over the UK and Ireland on the 31st December, we can order the book at a reduced price now and buy then at full price after publication, i have to proof read and sign the copy right permission form before 16th Oct for it to be published, how great is that a birthday pressie for bec being her bday in only 2 days after...lol

It seems a very deep story for a 13yr old, but then Bec does seem a bit mature for her age, the judges must have thought that as well
