Ok, I am finally going to try and post the LA concert pics here. I have them on Photobucket, anyone know which link I click to post them? I am going to try now, so if you see several weird looking things or hear me cursing, no worries. Yes, I know its been ages already since the concert, but I can be a bit slow on projects at times, lol!
I was in the VIP section and Peter Gabriel was a mere few feet away:
The private soundcheck hours before the concert, here is PG with John Metcalf the conductor:
PG and Bob Ezrin whom I met a night later:
One of PG's concert back up singers, the Great Ane Brun whom I also met the next night at an invitation only concert:
I have several more pictures of the concert and sound check, let me know if you wish to see them!

'Ello everyone! Sorry it has been so long since I have posted on one of my fav sites! I indeed had an amazing time in CA. and @ the VIP Peter Gabriel show, and the next night I was invited to a private invite only (had to be on a list) to Ane Brunes short but excellent concert!
As for pictures, Yes my friends I have tons but right now do not have the time to post them, I will try when things calm down on my end ok?

The Soldier Girl wrote:I think it might have gotten a four star rating instead of five, but still that is a sweet deal for us "Normal" folk, lol. One more week, this time next Friday and Cody and I will be in the air, headed for Ca.!!!
I've already had my haircut, went for a nice summer style where they took 3 inches off and man did I need it! I could not believe how tired and how much grey my hair had. Ugh! Now it's lighter on my head and gives me a fresher, younger look.
Four star is good!
I agree Darc...a haircut always makes me feel fresher and younger!

Blimey, I agree, for £76 a night you may get a luxury suite at a premier Inn, but thats about it for a night here, that is a really good deal you have there, I've heard about that website , its tailor made to how and when you want it, and where, its supposed to be a really good holiday site, personally I haven't been on there to book anything as I don't go abroad etc, but i have stopped by on there to have a peak and they do some wonderful deals.
That's a great deal Darc...$116 = £76 and you wouldn't get a 5 star hotel in London for £76 a night. A 5 star hotel in London costs around £200 ( $300) per night!
I will def post any pictures/videos I take from the trip! And the only way we got the hotel at such a great rate was because it was part of an expedia package online and I think the hotel is having its grand opening. So we got the room at $116 per night. Sometimes the internet can land you some sweet deals!

That sounds great Darcy, LA is where me and my youngest wants to visit one day in the long distance future..lol, can't afford it at the moment, but its somewhere we have always wanted to visit, I bet there is loads of places to visit which are great, just a shame you have very short time, but at least if you enjoy yourselves you can always go back there for a longer visit. Would be great to see the pics when you upload them,
Hope you have a fab time

Only a week or so until I head out to L.A and I'm getting excited! I decided that we needed more time for fun, so I added another day to our trip. This way we get two FULL days (really three, but the 7th is all about the concert day) and possibly might make it over to Universal Studios on Sunday. Saturday we will be spending shopping and pampering ourselves. The concert on Friday is going to be such a blast! I am meeting up with about 12 fellow fans before the concert and then will heading to the show. I can not believe I scored such a great seat! I will be right at the stage in the "Circle area" in section A, row 7. And if folks are standing, maybe I can work my way to the absolute front of the stage with a smile and a bit of flirting if I have too. I'm not that tall and hope I do not get blocked from a good view due to taller folks infront of me. All in all, it is going to be an AMAZING weekend, expensive....but worth it!!!
I just bought a new Canon Digital camera with video ability and will try and upload the pictures and video while at the hotel. We got a fab deal on a five star hotel and will be staying in a deluxe room and indulging in the in Hotel Spa package!

Mgirl, I have thought about hitting U. Studios, but we only have ONE free day and will not be able to fit in everything. I also thought of taking him horse backriding on the Malibu beach. How fun would that be?

go to the beach. take him to Santa Monica beach pier. or Venice beach which is somewhat interesting. also for more shopping go to the kodak center which is by the footprints. since he will be 18, he might enjoy seeing Hooters in Hollywood which is across the street from that. also take a drive to Malibu and Pacific Palisades area. you can also drive through Belair by the movie star homes. they have maps to show you who owns what home. he may also like the Universal Studio tour.
NICe one Darc! I hope you and Cody have a great weekend in LA.
As for ideas for places to visit while you're in LA what about Grauman's Chinese Theatre to see Nicky's hand and footprints and the Hollywood Walk of Fame to see Nicky's star...you can go and give Nicky's star a kiss on behalf of the Vixens!
Cody and I are flying out on May 7th to LA, CA. We are staying in a five star hotel (J. W. Merriote) and have a deluxe room, then later that night I am going to a Peter Gabriel concert and I have the best seating. The concert will be at Hollywood Bowl and I am sitting in the Circle row (right at the stage), section A, row 7!! And then the next day I am taking Cody on a shopping trip into Bev Hills, Rodeo Drive as a present for his upcoming 18th Birthday. We fly out Sunday morning to come home. Its going to be a fantastic weekend!
Anyone have any ideas where else we should go while in town?
