Thanks Mara for the clips. I agree with you that for a first time director, SONNY was a hugely courageous choice to make.

I enjoyed the movie tremendously (albeit some of the scenes did make my tummy tumble) and I would so love to see Nic direct again.

I really wish he'd go behind the cameras again to give us a glimpse into his 'sensibilites' as you call them.

BTW.....I'd love to see a close up of that gorgeous jade ring. Lavendar jade is a favorite of mine....

... here you have some clips from the movie to give you a feel of what it´s like. (WARNING: the main character is a male gigolo, so the Sonny has some adult content, which is not shown in these clips...).

The final clip is a five minute interview with Nic himself. He was having a tough time at that moment and it shows a little, but he looks focused AND GORGEOUS.

P.S. Loooved this movie big time, I think Nic was very corageous to carry it through given the taboo subject-matter. I own the DVD, and it features a voiceover commentary by Nic which is totally enlightening as to his sensibilities.
