Aw, thanks Cor!! This computer is going to be my life line for the next two months, so I am sure ya'll will be hearing from me on a regular basis after I get over the intial first few days after surgery. I will be documenting my recovery with daily diarys and pictures. Should be interesting the contrast of before and after pics, lol.

OK, in typical military style..yet ANOTHER CHANGE with my surgery. I will not be having it this MONDAY MORNING at 6am!! *lets off a healthy stream of curses*.
OH yeah, I will also being getting my nose done as well. I was joking with my Doc that he could feel free to thin my nose out while I was under if he got bored or something, and my flirting must have worked because he said "I don't see you really needing much of nose job as your nose looks fine, but I can thin it out for you if you want". Woohoo! Oh and its all FREE! LOL
At least I will be getting it over and done with right? But if you notice me not posting much, you know why. LOL

Hola Mi Chica y Chico's! Ok, I found out today that I have my Pre-op for my surgery tomorrow and the actual surgery will be on Wensday at 9:30 AM. Lawdy lawd, they are really moving fast with this now! Phew and OMG. You know, I have had my share of operations in the past and always thought of myself as one cool cucumber when it comes to not being scared or a worry wart about said operations. But I'z gots to tell ya'll, for some reason this upcoming deal is really getting under my skin and scaring me. Maybe because all the other operations were minor ones, even the emergency Gallbladder one. The only real situation was when I did not know I was pregs and it was an Atopic (Sp?) and I almost bled to death..yeah that was a bad moment. But this one...dunno..just is hitting me odd. Hopefully I can get out of this thought process as I fully understand how one can think themselves into making things worse..mind over matter if you will. If you think positive, 99.9% of the time, positive is what happens, the same for negative. So someone kick me in the ass and pull my head out of it while at it so I can go into this surgery with better mindset please!
On the giggle, giggle HAha side of things, things in my area will be super quiet..what with my jaws wired shut and all, lol. My son, ever the chip off the old Momma block, is making sure I realize that I will NOT need to worry about picking out a Halloween costume should I want to go out that night. I will BE THE COSTUME and sure too scare the **** outta any kid, hell adult on sight with my black and blue bruised and puffy face and wires!! Yep, dat boy is sure mine and the sarcastic vein runs deep I tells ya! But I love him more than anything else in the world and can not help but laugh at his teasings!!
He is just really anticipating Mom not being able to lecture and grumble at him for a few months, he can finally get in the last word now! Or so he thinks..HA! Stinker. LOL.
Ok Crank-Yankers and Lollipop lickers, take care!!
Darcy

Thanks Ladies, very much appreicated. I give fair warning, next week I might be a big baby and a wee bit of a whiner. Hey, its a rather harsh surgery ya know..but I guess what I am trying to translate here, is it ok if I lean on ya'll if I get down? I consider myself a fairly strong soul, but this is something that is really making me at odds with strength, lol.
Hugs and NICe thoughts, CSG
Oh..thought I would post a picture I took of my Lucy this morning..she is making sure I get her best profile view, lol.

*yawns*. Hey gang. I had myself another long day today. Had to go back to Austin for another Doctors appt. They once again changed my pain medication. This time they are serious with it. They put me on a Fentanyl Transderman System..translation: It's a morphine like patch that I wear. Each patch is good for seventy-two hours and is very much stronger than pills. So strong in fact that I have to be very careful not to let my body temp. go up much or stay out in the sun, avoid things like hot baths, etc as when your temp goes up, the patch releases a higher does into your blood stream and you could OD. *Grumbles and sighs*. Too say I am super loopy and tired right now from the intial affects is not that far from the truth!! LOL. I had this LTC riding with me today of course he and our driver did get some laughs at my silly moments and made sure they mentioned several times that they did notice my high state, lol.
Also, while at my Doctors appointment, I get a call from one of my OTHER Docs. They are moving my jaw surgery up, way up..like NEXT WEEK instead of November or early December. Now I have known I was going to have the surgery but now its really sinking in and call me a baby and a whiner, but dammit I am scared. It's no small surgery and the recovery is not going to be easy. But staying on the positve side, hey at least I will not have my jaw wired shut or face sporting black and blues while super puffy for the Holidays right? I'll take these little positive moments where and when I can thanks!
The surgery will be done at the Army Hospital in San Antonio, TX and I have a pre-op (at least I think its a pre-op) appointment this Friday at 08:30 to discuss everything. I made sure I made the statement several times on the phone to the Doc, that NO RESIDENT WILL TOUCH ME, not even for the littlest thing during the surgery. It is a training hospital after all, but its MY FACE and my right too request this, and request I am! Think this weekend, I might have to cut up a bit now, I will be pretty much on lock down for the next two months now. GRR.
Ok, time to give the Lucy girl a bath and relax! Bed time will be early tonight for this Soldier Girl!
Hug & Kisses,
Darcy
