I'm glad you feel inspired Soldier Girl! they are so very magical. I'm not sure if she exports, I think it's cost prohibitive and they're very fragile. But, I've been having a google and found a US company who sell the same salt lamps, also from the himalayas and who seem to have a similar ethos. I'll pm you the details!

That's some bling you got yourself there Soldier Girl! I did treat myself yesterday, but only by accident! One of my salt lamps broke on Monday, so I contacted the lovely lady who i bought them from to get a replacement. And like and angel she turned up yesterday afternoon with another one, a real beauty, a lovely dark orange red glow, which is perfect for me because the retina does not pick up on the red light end of the spectrum in the same way as white light. These lamps are made from the evaporated salts of seas millions of years old, from a himalayan salt mine. The lady I bought them from has visited the mines and was describing the excavation tunnels with orange, peach, pink and white walls, made entirely of salt. She said the energy there is amazing and the people really care about the salt. So each one is made with a warm heart. Perfect valentines day gift! It makes me feel I have all the elements in my room, the water of the sea from which the salt evaporated, the air of the mountain from which the salt is mined as well as the negative ions that the lamp emits into the air, the earth of the salt itself from deep inside the mountain, and the fire of the warm orange glow from the light inside the lamp ! Not forgetting the quintessential element, the magic, the energy, the healing it gives off, and the loving history contained within it. Thanks for listening to my story, i know i can be a bit of an anorak sometimes on a crystals and rocks mission, but you've gotta admit this is pretty magical, the lamp itself and the way in which it came to me!

You know Ladies, sometimes we just have too spoil ourselves now and then! So after sending my son and a friend some Valentines Day goodies online, I decided too treat myself with a beautiful little ring I stumbled across. Does that mean I am pitiful, buying my own rings? No, I am not..rather it just means that I do not have to sit and wait for someone else too buy something for me. But am I over the top stubborn and a tomboy because of that? Nah..I don't mind getting flowers and the like, I received from a mystery guy a wonderful flower arrangement this morning! I have an idea who sent it, but am content to sit back and see if he rings me to see if I received the flowers, lol. Anyways, here is my little moment of self indulgence, lol:
Can't wait until it arrives! Go ahead ya'll..treat yourself today!
