Thanks Mrs. C! I do not have much to donate, but others do not have anything so I do what I can. I am also teaching Cody about the true meaning of charity and to always understand that no matter how well off you are at the moment, things can and do change in a minute and you may find yourself needing help one day too.
To help with that lesson, I am taking him with me on the 15th to a Holiday event for the homeless and he is going to help serve plates of food to those much less fortunate. He is actually looking forward to it, so I know he has a good heart and is taking these lessons seriously.

I know things are tough right now with the economy and we are all having to tighten our belts. But what does that really mean? We limit our shopping at the Mall, cut back on Starbucks to only three times a week instead of five?
But for billions of people ALL over the world, be those that you have never met, third world countries or even your next door neighbor, cutting back means going hungry, losing their home and living on the street or worse.
During this holiday season, lets pay it forward and reach out to those in need. Take that five dollars you would have spent on McDonalds, or forgo a trip to the nail salon or beers with the guys and spend it on a pure cause.
You can donate money or clothes to your local homeless shelter, church or the like. Here is a wonderful site that gives you ideas and will take your donation and send the items all over the world to those that are suffering the most.
Learn, reach out and react, it only takes a minute to donate...but it could make the difference of a child eating that day or not.
